I am try my best to be proactive but most of the time, I will procrastinate. Sometimes when I have no idea what to do I procrastinate but most of the times I will ask for help or try to solve it alone. I am proactive some times because I try to finish my work and I try to make it my best work. I will try not to procrastinate although I do. I have been proactive on most of my big school projects but some, I have procrastinated. The current school project that we are working on, I will try my best to be proactive and not procrastinate.
I always try to be proactive and I am most of the time. When I am productive, which is most of the time, I have a lot of free time which makes me bored, it kind of makes me wish there was more work to do, but, Im happy that there isn't a lot at the same time. It always pays off when you are proactive. Sometimes I am a procrastinator so I dont have a lot of free time. Although when I am proactive, I am really bored.
What I would change about my habits, I guess I would change the fact that I always end up doing most of the work at the last minute. Only on some of my projects have I waited 'till the last minute to finish up. But theres only a little amount of work to do, when its last minute. I honestly think I am a procrastinator but i have always tried my best to be proactive. I have and will always try my best on all my work.

My Visual Poem
< />
My visual poem is about dogs. I chose dogs because dogs are loyal and each are special. Each one is different weather its on the outside or inside. They may look the same but their behavior is different. Dogs are an animal that are different than any other. Each animal is different and I chose dogs because of the loyalty they show to their owners. A bond between an owner and is special.
When editing, I used the kens burns effect to zoom in on a picture. This effect affected it by showing how a dog is listening to its owner. The other effects i used didn't affect my visual poem as much as I wanted it to do. I didn't use that many effects because I didn't have enough time too get it all done but at least I finished. Im happy I finished on time. It could be better but thats okay.
I think my visual poem could have turned out better. I could have used more effects and I could have gotten more b-roll. I don't have a video in it either so I think I could have gotten a video. I tried to get video but that didn't work out very well. But thats okay. I finished and at least I tried. I think the the results I got are fine.

Finished News Story
We are finally done with our news story! It was a lot of fun going out with my friends and interviewing people. Our video is about health and obesity. The people who contributed was Jhoanna Domingo, Kyla Baustista, and Maddie Hoesel. Maddie contributed the most. She was a big help in all of this. Without her, we would probably not have a story at all. She was our leader, a very good leader in fact. We learned about final cut pro and how to use the cameras thanks to her. If we didn't have her we would be so lost in editing and filming and every thing. When she left it was hard to do every thing but thanks to Mr. Sanderl we finished. The people who we interviewed are, Missy Hoesel, Maddie's mom, Heidi Tokuda, and Josh Nations.
I think our finished product turned out okay. It wasn't the best but I'm happy with it. The audio wasn't the greatest but we tried. Also the editing, there were a few jump cuts that were not that noticeable. I guess over all it was our best work. We tried our hardest to get it done and I guess I'm happy with it.
To conclude our project, we got a 3 out of 4 and i agree with that. I think the audio was the only thing that I think we could have done better. But from those mistakes that we made, we can learn from. It got harder and harder to do. But when Maddie left it was really hard. In the beginning, we werent pro's with Final Cut Pro, we didnt even know how to use it. Yet with help from Mr.Sanderl and Maddie, learned how to use it and we tried our best.

Real World Report
The article that I have read is about a beagle named Sherlock. This article is called Airport beagle returns passengers' forgotten items (but only in this ... . People have claimed that this dog has been returning forgotten items on a plane to its rightful owner. Before Sherlock arrived, people were complaining about lost items. Now they have set up a lost and found group to find their belongings. Sherlock was hired for the job to help people find their lost items.
I think Sherlock is a very helpful dog and he is happy to help. He sounds like a kind dog and I'm sure he is. He is very helpful to all the people who lose their belongings in the airport. I'm sure he is a cheerful dog who will do anything to help the passengers find their things. The article says that they have been finding around 80 percent of the lost items.
I think people should care about this because others could lose important things on planes so its good to have a lost and found team. The lost and found team are really helpful to people who need their lost belongings back. With their dog, Sherlock, it must be much easier for them. Sherlock seems like a big help. He is a helpful dog that is well trained and prepared to find many more items.

Lessons Learned
So far, the most interesting part about our project is that we have a chance to learn more about our topic and our community. I have never really known a lot about our topic or our community, so going out and learning with friends is a lot of fun especially when I'm doing my favorite thing. Filming. I love going around the community, filming interview, getting b-roll, and all types of other things.
The biggest roadblock my group had was editing. Only one of us knew how to edit so she had to teach us how to edit. On the 30th, our final project is due and on the 25th, Maddie (our seventh grade leader) is not going to be there. She will come back but after the due date i think. So she is trying her best to teach us how to do everything we need to know in case we have to do any last minute changes.
The most valuable part of film making is the editing. Editing will help us cut the video down so its not boring. We cant only cut our videos down to three minutes or less. Our video is about 14 seconds over the time limit but we can fix that. I know that when Maddie leaves we will be ready because she is a good leader.

Hiki No Behind The Scenes
For our G.T. class, we are doing a project for Hiki No, a t.v program produced by students like us. Me and my group's topic is about health and obesity. We have filmed a few times together but we still need more footage. We have some b-roll but not all of it yet. So far all of are interviewees have been giving us a lot of information and we appreciate.
When we are not filming we are always researching about our topic. We have have found many facts about health and obesity. We have also been thinking of questions to ask our interviewees. One more thing we have been working on is what we are going to say. We have just barely started but I guarantee we will finish very soon.
To help my team I will try to correct any questions or anything we write down to make it sound better. I will also try to make it to as many interview as I can. I will try my best to help out my team with anything they need. I know that we will all try to help each other as much as we can. We will do our best on this project.

The Experiment
The experiment. The photo shop experiment was very hard yet very fun. In the experiment, we did not know how to use photo shop at all, but we had to figure it out. I didn't know how to start so half the time I was trying to figure it out. I never did so I ended up asking my partner which I have should have done earlier. But, I got to make something. Once I got to start it, I couldn't do any thing for some reason. Luckily , someone came to help and I was able to do a little bit of work. I still don't know what all of the icons do, but I'll figure it out some how.
Back To School
Im back in school! My favorite thing about Kapa'a Middle school was the first day. I was pretty shy. But I liked coming back to school. Meeting all my new teachers, and seeing all my friends again. My biggest challenge was making new friends. But I'm happy I did. I met so many new people like Sophia, Ashley, Shaday, and everyone else.
To make this year successful, I will try my best to make new friends and do what I'm told to. I think if I just listen, then I will do well. As long as I try my best.
